Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Urwifs Othrguy (ranked 3137 p4p, 285 weight class) and Wagner King (ranked 3495 p4p, 313 weight class). Urwifs Othrguy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King misses with a takedown attempt - Othrguy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Othrguy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and King counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Othrguy kicks King off and gets back to his feet.
Othrguy leaves King with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Othrguy shoots in and gets a takedown into King's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Othrguy wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

King blocks the strikes from Othrguy.

King thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Othrguy's head.

King in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Othrguy bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
King has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

King tries to keep at a distance but Othrguy has taken the fight into the clinch.
Othrguy definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

King breaks from the clinch.
King blocks a head kick by Othrguy.

Othrguy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Othrguy is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

King is working an open guard so Othrguy takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Othrguy moves into range and clinches up with King.

King successfully pulls guard.
Othrguy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

King has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
King wants to sweep but no luck.
Othrguy wants to get up but he can't break King's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

King looking for a guillotine here but Othrguy defends easily.

King is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Othrguy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on King, up you get!
King throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Othrguy counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
King looks winded!
King shoots for a double leg takedown but Othrguy sprawls well. He's pushed King's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Urwifs Othrguy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wagner King.
Othrguy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
King tries to close the distance and clinch up but Othrguy swats him away and circles back towards the center.

King is fighting off a takedown attempt but Othrguy is just too persistent for him and manages to trip King to the mat. King regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Othrguy stands up from guard. Let's bang!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

King has taken the fight to the clinch.
King is looking for a takedown.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Othrguy here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
King prevents Othrguy from breaking the clinch.
Othrguy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that King can do to turn this around?
King tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Othrguy avoids it.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Othrguy as King tries to tie him up.
Othrguy lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of King backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Othrguy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
King will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Othrguy stands and steps away. King gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

King is fighting off a takedown attempt but Othrguy is just too persistent for him and manages to trip King to the mat. King regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

King working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Othrguy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Othrguy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now King is on top in guard.

Othrguy is looking to cinch up a triangle. King throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Othrguy's body to avoid the submission. Othrguy has instead reached around King's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Othrguy arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
