Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jan Diaz (ranked 4390 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Ogus (ranked 24831 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jeff Ogus!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ogus moves into range and clinches up with Diaz.
Ogus lands a left hand that snaps the head of Diaz backwards.
Diaz is trying to stall.
Ogus should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Diaz is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Ogus has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Diaz is on him like a limpet, forcing Ogus back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ogus drops down looking for an ankle pick but Diaz pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ogus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diaz tries to avoid it but Ogus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diaz to the ground. Diaz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well Ogus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
