Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tadashi Yoshimatsu (ranked 4688 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sudu Stripa (ranked 4509 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshimatsu fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Yoshimatsu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Yoshimatsu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Stripa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Yoshimatsu is fending him off so far but Stripa persists. Nope, Yoshimatsu circles away and we're back to standing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Yoshimatsu is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Stripa seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Yoshimatsu tries a low kick but Stripa avoids it.
Stripa moves out of range as Yoshimatsu strikes.
Yoshimatsu wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Yoshimatsu tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Stripa tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Yoshimatsu is able to avoid easily.
Yoshimatsu drops down looking for a counter takedown but Stripa sprawls and moves away.

Yoshimatsu is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Yoshimatsu prevents a body shot from Stripa.

Yoshimatsu wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Yoshimatsu is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Stripa has Yoshimatsu pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Stripa pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Yoshimatsu tumbling to the mat - Stripa dives into Yoshimatsu's guard.

Yoshimatsu bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stripa's guard.

Yoshimatsu passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yoshimatsu goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Stripa has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Yoshimatsu but great work by Stripa.

Yoshimatsu is looking to regain half guard here but Stripa keeps moving and retains side control.
Stripa looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Yoshimatsu is avoiding damage well.
Stripa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yoshimatsu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stripa tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Yoshimatsu sneaks back into half guard.
Stripa prevents Yoshimatsu from improving his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Stripa tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Yoshimatsu wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Stripa has him pressed against the cage.

Stripa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Yoshimatsu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Stripa counters with a single leg into guard. Yoshimatsu didn't expect that.

Yoshimatsu has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Stripa doesn't defend quickly enough and Yoshimatsu has managed to lock this one up! Can Stripa escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Yoshimatsu on a fantastic submission victory.
