The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayson throws a hook but Mulvaney blocks it.
Mayson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mulvaney counters with a two punch combo.
Mayson tries to close the distance and clinch but Mulvaney swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mulvaney throws a head kick but Mayson moves out of range.
Mayson doesn't manage to clinch there - Mulvaney circles away.
Mayson sets himself, and Mulvaney steps forward looking for the clinch! Mayson avoids it this time.

Mulvaney has taken the fight to the clinch.

Mulvaney lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Mayson wants to stand back up but Mulvaney manages to pass into side control.
Mayson tries to bench press Mulvaney off him but Mulvaney keeps the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mulvaney remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Mulvaney slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Mayson misses with a head kick.
Mayson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mayson tries to clinch up.

Mulvaney bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mayson tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Mulvaney takes Mayson's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Mayson is in trouble.
Mulvaney controls the position.
Mayson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mulvaney on the ground.
