PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Sins (ranked 4250 p4p, 361 weight class) and CP Schlatter (ranked 6774 p4p, 456 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Sins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, CP Schlatter!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schlatter fails with the takedown
letting Sins counter with a right hand.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Schlatter is defended easily by Sins.
Schlatter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sins counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like CP Schlatter has been cut.
Johnny Sins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of CP Schlatter.
Schlatter takes one to the side of the head.

Schlatter rushes Sins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sins wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Schlatter has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sins tries to circle away but Schlatter has him pinned against the cage.
Sins stops a takedown attempt from Schlatter.
Schlatter blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Sins tries to pull guard but Schlatter won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Schlatter blocks an uppercut.
Schlatter is looking for a takedown.

Schlatter turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Sins wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Sins is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Schlatter is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Sins swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Sins tries to lock up and control but Schlatter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Sins sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Sins makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Sins throws a series of punches but Schlatter avoids them all with ease.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Schlatter on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Schlatter fails with a takedown attempt.
Sins tries to counter by clinching up but Schlatter breaks away and moves out of range.
Johnny Sins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Schlatter takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Sins rushes Schlatter and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Schlatter is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Sins piles on the pressure and Schlatter crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
