Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Tambling (ranked 5373 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hideo Kenta (ranked 5815 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenta has chosen ISIS as his entrance music. Hideo Kenta has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Tambling!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hideo Kenta!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenta defending well as Tambling loads up on a big left hand.
Tambling connects with a jab.
Tambling scores with a sloppy right hand. Kenta should have avoided that one.
Tambling looks to land a combination. Kenta sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like Hideo Kenta has been cut.
Tambling connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Kenta keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A jab from Tambling misses.
Kenta avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kenta throws the kick towards the body but Tambling avoids it.
Tambling swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Kenta with a lazy takedown attempt
and Tambling counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tambling sizes up Kenta with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Tambling throws a body punch but Kenta moves out of range.
Kenta misses with a takedown attempt - Tambling sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tambling is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tambling crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kenta - the referee stops the clock and Tambling gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kenta. Tambling manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Kenta avoids a punch combination nicely.

Kenta gets a takedown into half guard.
Tambling tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Kenta manages to move to mount!
Tambling keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Tambling on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tambling tries to get out of the position.
Kenta can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tambling is looking to escape.

Tambling is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Kenta sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Tambling is looking to get to half guard.
Kenta landing punches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kenta putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Tambling working to try and regain half guard.
Tambling is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Tambling is breathing heavily.

Kenta wants to control the pace but Tambling is squirming around nicely.
Kenta sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Kenta trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Kenta controlling the pace for now.
Kenta with shots to the head and body - Tambling looks very uncomfortable down there.
Kenta looking to finish Tambling with some ground and pound. This is bad for Tambling!

Kenta looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kenta looking to control but Tambling is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kenta cracks Tambling with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Kenta has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Tambling wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Kenta has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Tambling taps furiously! This one is all over!
