Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryer McGuire (ranked 8 p4p, 2 weight class) and Hector Stefan (ranked 35 p4p, 7 weight class). McGuire comes to the cage accompanied by Nothing More - Go To War. Stefan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Onward to Victory. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

McGuire drops Stefan with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Stefan looks back up at him and smiles so McGuire waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Stefan.
McGuire misses with a looping right.

and Stefan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Stefan is still on wobbly legs! Can McGuire finish him?
McGuire connects with a body shot that sends Stefan's belly button to the back.
Stefan seems to have recovered his senses.
McGuire throws a lazy right hand but Stefan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Stefan! But no joy.

Stefan lands with a straight right. McGuire didn't see that one coming.
Stefan pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces McGuire back to the cage. Stefan follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Stefan throws a shot from downtown. McGuire moves away and avoids it.

McGuire lands a big right hand that sends Stefan crashing to the mat! McGuire stays standing though and waves Stefan back to his feet!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bryer McGuire will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
