Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xafan Kong (ranked 524 p4p, 79 weight class) and Charley Hanagan (ranked 649 p4p, 96 weight class). Kong's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Demon's Theme. Hanagan has chosen Guilty Until Proven Innocent as his entrance music. Xafan Kong has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hanagan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kong throws a low kick but Hanagan avoids it.
Kong throws a sloppy head kick and Hanagan moves out of range easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hanagan.
Hanagan cracks Kong with an open hand slap.
Kong throws a looping overhand right but Hanagan ducks down to avoid it.

Hanagan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kong bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hanagan feints and as Kong raises his hands in defense, Hanagan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Hanagan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kong swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kong is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hanagan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hanagan's back!

Kong takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kong throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hanagan.
Hanagan lands a really nice looking cross but Kong seems unphased.

Kong lands a head kick. Hanagan smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Kong throws a lazy right hand but Hanagan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Kong throws a front kick aimed at Hanagan's knee but Hanagan avoids it well.
Hanagan blocks a low kick nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hanagan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hanagan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hanagan has gone for a leg lock! Kong slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hanagan's guard.

Hanagan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kong manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kong is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Kong lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hanagan checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Hanagan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kong manages to avoid it.

Kong manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
