Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shi Fu Tu (ranked 1685 p4p, 192 weight class) and Boyko Kersikov (ranked 1205 p4p, 140 weight class). Fu Tu's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Klendathu drop. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 4, fighting out of London, Shi Fu Tu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 15 - 2, fighting out of New York, Boyko Kersikov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fu Tu takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Kersikov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
As Kersikov tries to get set, Fu Tu tries to push him back and clinch up but Kersikov manages to avoid the attempt.

Kersikov moves into the clinch.
Fu Tu swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Fu Tu tries to throw a body punch but Kersikov avoids it by throwing Fu Tu back against the cage.
Fu Tu definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kersikov's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Fu Tu lands a shoulder strike.
Fu Tu pushes Kersikov back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
The referee calls for Kersikov to work.
Fu Tu can't find room to land a body shot as Kersikov controls the action.
Fu Tu throws a punch but it's blocked by Kersikov.
Kersikov swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Fu Tu jumps guard and drags Kersikov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Fu Tu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kersikov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Kersikov is looking to stand up but Fu Tu won't let him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Kersikov throws a right hand that Fu Tu ducks under and follows up with a left that Fu Tu also avoids with ease.
Shi Fu Tu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Fu Tu takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Fu Tu is looking to counter punch.
Kersikov throws a wild body kick that Fu Tu sees coming a mile off.

Fu Tu misses with a hook. Kersikov ducked under it nicely.
Kersikov throws a hook to the side of Fu Tu's head but Fu Tu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Kersikov motions for Fu Tu to come forward. Kersikov throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Fu Tu lunges at Kersikov with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kersikov's hand.

A bone on bone clash there as Kersikov blocks the leg kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Kersikov misses the target.
Fu Tu tries to counter by clinching up but Kersikov breaks away and moves out of range.
Fu Tu's corner calls for a 1-2. Fu Tu obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Kersikov looks for a takedown but Fu Tu sprawls well.
Fu Tu is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Kersikov.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kersikov looks to score with a jab to the body but Fu Tu is just out of range.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kersikov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Fu Tu has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Fu Tu and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Kersikov tries to land a front kick but Fu Tu steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Fu Tu pushes Kersikov away with a front kick.
Fu Tu dodges the punch combination from Kersikov.
Kersikov throws a right and a left that Fu Tu avoids nicely.
Fu Tu seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Kersikov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kersikov misses with a double jab.
Kersikov misses with a leg kick
and Fu Tu counters with a one-two to the body.
Kersikov misses with a body shot.
Kersikov takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Fu Tu throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Shi Fu Tu will probably get the nod.

Fu Tu isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kersikov stacks Fu Tu on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kersikov!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fu Tu is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Boyko Kersikov seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Sloppy strikes from Kersikov. Those never looked like landing.
It looked like Fu Tu wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Fu Tu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kersikov.

Kersikov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fu Tu has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
