Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Renshu Brady!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ragnar Wood!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brady misses with an uppercut. Wood saw that one coming.
Brady looks to land a left hand but Wood moved out of range nicely.
A left lands for Wood.
Wood bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Brady definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Brady throws the left hand but Wood avoids the punch easily.
Brady scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Brady misses with a looping left.
Wood walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Wood keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Brady.

Wood forces Brady back against the cage and clinches.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Wood.
Brady has Wood pressed against the cage, preventing Wood from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Wood is trying to break the clinch but Brady has him pressed against the cage.

Brady drags the fight down to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Brady is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Brady seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wood does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Wood is staying active underneath Brady, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wood can do anything to dispel that myth.

Brady has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've been informed that Wood has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Renshu Brady dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Wood throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Brady on the side of the head.

It looks like Renshu Brady has been cut.
Brady swings for the body but Wood moves out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wood, as that shot connected.
A big right from Brady misses.
Wood scores with a punch to the head.
A jab from Brady does it's job there.
Brady takes a swing at Wood's ribcage but misses.
Wood works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Brady bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Brady throws a hook but Wood avoids it easily.
Wood swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wood swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wood throws a jab but it's blocked by Brady.

A lazy left from Brady finds it's target.

Brady moves in close and cracks Wood with a massive right hand! Wood, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Brady!

Renshu Brady was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
