And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Desmond Stringfellow!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Reed.
Reed ducks under a wild hook from Stringfellow.
Reed gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Stringfellow counters with a stiff right hand.
Stringfellow leaves Reed with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Stringfellow is looking for a triangle but Reed pushes his legs off easily.
Reed wants to control from the top but Stringfellow keeps moving.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Reed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stringfellow swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Stringfellow has his foot on Reed's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Reed works his way back into a safe position though.

Reed misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Reed shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stringfellow as he avoids it easily.
Stringfellow looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Reed changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stringfellow tries to avoid it but Reed manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stringfellow to the ground. Stringfellow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A slow jab from Reed misses its intended target.
Stringfellow unleashes a big counter combination but Reed bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Reed throws an overhand right that lands on Stringfellow's shoulder, as Stringfellow tries to avoid the shot.
Stringfellow swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Tommy Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stringfellow displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Reed.

Reed manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stringfellow on his heels. He'll look to pass Stringfellow's guard now, I'm sure.

Reed tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Reed has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Tommy Reed overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reed trying to control the action but Stringfellow is working from the bottom.

You can see the frustration on Stringfellow's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Reed shoots in for a double leg but Stringfellow sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Stringfellow throws the left hand but Reed avoids the punch easily.

and Reed takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Reed uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stringfellow.
Reed shoots in but Stringfellow avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Stringfellow is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Reed will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Stringfellow is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Reed jumps guard and drags Stringfellow to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Reed shoots in looking for a takedown but Stringfellow manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reed's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Reed throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Stringfellow tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Reed is in Stringfellow's guard.

Stringfellow working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reed doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reed manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Reed swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
