The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thompson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Peterson gets full guard.
Thompson trying to control the position from guard on top but Peterson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Thompson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Peterson, up you get!
Thompson dives in for a single leg takedown but Peterson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Peterson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Thompson circles away quickly and effectively.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Peterson will probably get the nod.
