Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Italo Giobbe (ranked 2743 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin The Dream (ranked 4519 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Dream shoots in and drives through. Giobbe sprawls well.

Giobbe is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and The Dream defends well.
Giobbe throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
The Dream wants to get up but he can't break Giobbe's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The Dream wants to pass the guard but Giobbe is keeping the position.
The Dream wants to stand and escape but instead Giobbe has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Giobbe has gone for a leg lock! The Dream slips out almost immediately though and dives into Giobbe's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Dream stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Giobbe swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The Dream fails with a takedown attempt.
The Dream closes the distance and clinches up with Giobbe, looking for a takedown. The Dream pushes Giobbe against the cage but Giobbe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The Dream shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Giobbe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Giobbe drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and The Dream dives on top into guard.

Giobbe has his foot on The Dream's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. The Dream works his way back into a safe position though.
The Dream should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

That was a close second round but I would say that Italo Giobbe will probably get the nod.

The Dream shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Giobbe napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Giobbe is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if The Dream gets his way!

I would just about give that final round to Kevin The Dream.
Well The Dream has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
