Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barrett looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Barrett looking to pass the guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Barrett accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rogers trying to keep a closed guard but Barrett is proving a slippery customer.
Barrett seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Rogers working a defensive guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barrett is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Barrett decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Barrett changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rogers looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Rogers bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Barrett gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Rogers fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Rogers tries to work over Barrett's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Rogers wants to stall.

Barrett works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Rogers wriggles free and stands up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Barrett gets a clinch.
Barrett can't break the clinch.

Barrett gets control of Rogers's arms and successfully pulls guard. Barrett will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Barrett is on top in guard.

Barrett is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Barrett stuffs the takedown attempt from Rogers. Rogers gets slowly back to his feet.
Barrett is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

Rogers lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Barrett backwards.
Rogers has Barrett pressed against the cage, preventing Barrett from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Barrett keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rogers's efforts to push away.

Rogers tries to break the clinch but Barrett is controlling the position.

Barrett manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barrett is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rogers is aware though and is defending well.
Barrett has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Rogers tries to stand but Barrett is controlling from the bottom.

Barrett has his foot on Rogers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rogers works his way back into a safe position though.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Barrett fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rogers sprawls well initially but Barrett persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Barrett. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Barrett is continuing to stall.
Barrett thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Barrett not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Barrett is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Barrett forces Rogers back against the cage and clinches.
Rogers can't break the clinch.
Barrett looking to throw knees to the head but Rogers is blocking nicely.
Barrett prevents Rogers from breaking the clinch.
Rogers goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Barrett takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Rogers is trying to pull guard but Barrett has him pressed against the cage.

Barrett turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Barrett manages to end up in side control.

Rogers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Barrett as he jumps to the side.
Maxim Barrett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Barrett shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Barrett is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Barrett is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Barrett is looking to advance position but Rogers won't allow it.

Rogers is working an open guard so Barrett takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Barrett closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Barrett lands in his opponent's guard.

Barrett stands and steps away. Rogers gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
A left lands for Rogers.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Barrett closes the distance and pushes Rogers back into the cage.

Rogers breaks the clinch.
Wayne Rogers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Maxim Barrett is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Barrett tries a head kick but it misses.
A little feinted left hand from Rogers on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Maxim Barrett comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Barrett has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
