Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Morgan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jan Schrijber!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan with a nice cross.
Morgan connects with an inside leg kick.
Morgan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Schrijber is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Schrijber feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Morgan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Schrijber manages to get himself to full guard.

Morgan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Morgan gets to his feet - Schrijber follows without any prompting.
Schrijber shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Morgan sprawls well. Morgan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Schrijber gets slowly back to his feet.
Morgan plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Schrijber sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Morgan throws a front kick aimed at Schrijber's knee but Schrijber avoids it well.
Schrijber is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Morgan has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hare of the Dog Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Schrijber moves out of range as Morgan strikes.
Schrijber slips a straight right by Morgan.
Morgan throws a right hand that Schrijber ducks under and follows up with a left that Schrijber also avoids with ease.
Schrijber tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Morgan swivels and escapes.
Morgan throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Morgan takes a swing at Schrijber's ribcage but misses.

Morgan swings for the body but Schrijber moves out of range.
Schrijber tries for a takedown but Morgan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Morgan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Schrijber shoots in looking for a takedown. Morgan tries to sprawl out of it but Schrijber keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Morgan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Morgan thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Schrijber if he has to take too many more of those.

Morgan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Schrijber can do to turn this around?

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Schrijber tries to advance to mount but Morgan denies him.
Morgan is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Schrijber asserts his dominance and retains side control.
You can see the frustration on Morgan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Schrijber remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Morgan is looking to reverse the position.

Schrijber is looking to take a break and control but Morgan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Schrijber uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Morgan.

Morgan throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Schrijber shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Morgan has hold of Schrijber's hands but Schrijber slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Morgan is looking to improve his position.
Schrijber wants to take a breather but Morgan is having none of it.
Jan Schrijber has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morgan looks like he's trying to stand up.
Schrijber content to control rather than advance.
Schrijber's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Schrijber slips a nice elbow through Morgan's hands, connecting with Morgan's forehead.
Morgan is looking for a sweep. Schrijber is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Schrijber trying to control the action but Morgan is working from the bottom.
Schrijber thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Morgan's head.
Morgan tries to roll over but Schrijber keeps him under control.
Morgan pushes Schrijber off looking to stand but Schrijber dives back in and keeps control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Morgan has his hands clasped together around Schrijber's back. He's all about the action.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Jack Morgan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Morgan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Morgan scores with a hook.
Morgan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Morgan throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Schrijber's head.
Schrijber dives in for a single leg takedown but Morgan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Morgan delivers a nice body kick.
Morgan throws a low kick but it's checked well by Schrijber.
And Schrijber tries to counter it with a takedown but Morgan pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That kick from Morgan tenderised Schrijber's leg. Schrijber is trying to keep his angry face on.
Morgan cracks Schrijber with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Morgan misses with a wild body shot.
Schrijber with the counter takedown but Morgan avoids it easily.
Morgan throws out a loose jab but Schrijber uses good head movement to avoid it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jack Morgan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Morgan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
