Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Dwan Diego (ranked 15245 p4p, 609 weight class) and Carlotos Spiteri (ranked 4769 p4p, 495 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Diego might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jiu Jitsu. Spiteri is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Day to day basis. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diego throws an off balance right hand
and Spiteri cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Diego fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Spiteri has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
We've been informed that Spiteri has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Diego throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Spiteri counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Diego throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Dwan Diego seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Diego lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
