Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Helge Fossmo (ranked 7459 p4p, 217 weight class) and Travis Rodgers (ranked 24127 p4p, 69 weight class). Fossmo comes to the cage accompanied by Helge Fossmo predikar. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodgers looks to clinch
and Fossmo counters with a stiff right hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close round but I would say that Helge Fossmo will probably get the nod.

It looked like Fossmo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

As Rodgers backs away, Fossmo returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Fossmo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rodgers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rodgers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rodgers got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fossmo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rodgers has managed to get both his arms back between Fossmo's legs - danger averted.

Fossmo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rodgers stacks Fossmo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rodgers !
Rodgers remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Helge Fossmo.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fossmo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
