Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Alex Oxford (ranked 4195 p4p, 469 weight class) and Rico Paz (ranked 3098 p4p, 377 weight class). Oxford comes to the ring accompanied by Don't Fuck With Me. Paz has chosen Knockout as his entrance music. Rico Paz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rico Paz!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paz misses with an uppercut.
A nice inside leg kick there by Oxford. That's going to slow Paz down.

Oxford moves away from the strike by Paz.
Oxford throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Paz misses with a hook. Oxford ducked under it nicely.

Paz chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Oxford can pounce on him.

Oxford tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Paz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Paz might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Paz lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Oxford connects with a body shot that sends Paz's belly button to the back.

Oxford throws out a leg kick but Paz moves out of range and Oxford only half commits.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Oxford lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Paz has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Paz and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Rico Paz will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Oxford drops his hands momentarily and Paz takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Paz lands a nice shot that snaps Oxford's head back.
A slapping leg kick lands for Oxford.
Paz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Oxford.

Oh Oxford is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Oxford pivots, looking for a leg kick but Paz is out of range and Oxford settles back down.

It looks like Rico Paz has been cut.
Paz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Oxford throws a right hand that Paz ducks under and follows up with a left that Paz also avoids with ease.

Paz cracks Oxford with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Oxford get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Oxford looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!

Oxford drops his guard momentarily, allowing Paz to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Oxford! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Paz takes it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Rico Paz!
A very excited looking Rico Paz rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
