Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tidd shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jones counters with a straight right hand.
Joe Tidd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jones stuffs the takedown.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jones! But no joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Tidd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tidd.
Tidd dives in for a single leg takedown but Jones sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Tidd will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones takes a swing at Tidd's ribcage but misses.
Jones leaves Tidd with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tidd changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jones tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Tidd has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee warns Jones that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Tidd has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jones's face.

Tidd looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Tidd connects with a bit shot that sees Jones covering up! More strikes from Tidd and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Tidd is our winner by TKO!
