The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mendoza pushes Andulla up against the cage in a clinch.

Mendoza pulls guard effortlessly.
Andulla postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mendoza wants to stand up but Andulla is controlling him.
Andulla being controlled here momentarily.

Mendoza wriggles free and stands up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Andulla misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Andulla moves into range and clinches up with Mendoza.

Mendoza has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Andulla is trying to keep an underhook but Mendoza manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mendoza slips a nice elbow through Andulla's hands, connecting with Andulla's forehead.

Mendoza not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Mendoza seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Mendoza is trying to work for a kimura but Andulla is defending well.

Mendoza working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Andulla turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Mendoza off and cradles Andulla's limp body as Mendoza celebrates with his corner.
