The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taurus keeps control of Tombiya as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Tombiya tries to pull guard but Taurus holds him up against the cage and eventually Tombiya drops back down to his feet.
Tombiya's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tombiya thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Taurus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tombiya. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tombiya is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Taurus has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Tombiya gets tackled into the cage by Taurus. Taurus maintains the clinch.
Taurus lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Tombiya takes a shot to the head.

Tombiya shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tombiya was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tombiya is trying to get an arm triangle but Taurus is defending well.

Taurus is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tombiya has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Tombiya is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Taurus is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Bilal Tombiya overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Taurus is not content to let Tombiya control the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Tombiya wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Taurus, who protects the arm well.
Taurus is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
