Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chiku Maneno (ranked 549 p4p, 85 weight class) and Demon Monkey (ranked 309 p4p, 45 weight class). Monkey has chosen Bransjehora as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monkey looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Monkey tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Maneno is able to avoid easily.
Monkey scores with a jab.
Maneno throws a body punch but Monkey moves out of range.
Monkey throws a nice outside leg kick.
Maneno fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Monkey on the side of the head.
Maneno swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A little jabbing left from Monkey on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Maneno looks to score with a jab to the body but Monkey is just out of range.
Monkey feints a counter leg kick.
Maneno throws a body shot but no joy.

Donk. Monkey catches Maneno right on the button with a cross.
Monkey misses with a lunging right hand
and Maneno counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Maneno throws out a loose jab but Monkey uses good head movement to avoid it.
Monkey follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Monkey works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Monkey throws a head kick but Maneno moves out of range.
Maneno ducks right into an uppercut from Monkey.
Monkey misses the jab.
Maneno is looking to wear down Monkey with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Monkey lands with an uppercut that bounces Maneno off the cage and back into range.

Monkey cracks Maneno with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Maneno looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Monkey lands a big uppercut and Maneno crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Maneno looks OK. Monkey waves Maneno back to his feet!

A slow jab from Maneno misses its intended target.
Oh Maneno is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Monkey drops Maneno with a straight right hand, right on the button! Monkey follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
