Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gaga Gogo (ranked 4435 p4p, 444 weight class) and Yanji Klushinwa (ranked 3420 p4p, 369 weight class). Yanji Klushinwa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gaga Gogo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yanji Klushinwa!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, John Mangel and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klushinwa misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gogo appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Yanji Klushinwa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Klushinwa takes the fight into the clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Klushinwa.
Klushinwa being controlled against the cage.
Gogo wants to break free but Klushinwa has control.

Klushinwa ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Klushinwa no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Gogo postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Klushinwa utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Gogo throws an elbow that misses. Klushinwa uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gogo's guard. Nice move by Klushinwa!


Gogo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Gogo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Klushinwa seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Gogo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Klushinwa closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gogo quickly recovers to half guard.
Gogo is looking to control Klushinwa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gogo avoid being mounted?

Gogo pushes Klushinwa away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Klushinwa gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Gogo wants to hit a switch here but Klushinwa passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Gogo there!
Gogo is looking to improve his position but Klushinwa isn't that keen on the idea.
Klushinwa wants to control the pace but Gogo is squirming around nicely.

Yanji Klushinwa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Gogo tries to throw a body punch but Klushinwa avoids it by throwing Gogo back against the cage.

Gogo postures up in Klushinwa's guard and throws a big left but Klushinwa blocks it.

Gogo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Klushinwa works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Gogo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gogo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Klushinwa's head.
Gogo won't allow Klushinwa to sweep him here.
Gogo trying to control the position from guard on top but Klushinwa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gaga Gogo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Yanji Klushinwa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Klushinwa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Yanji Klushinwa spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
