The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erikson moves out of range of the strikes.
Erikson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Laibon.
Erikson connects with a right hand. Laibon shakes it off.
Erikson tests Laibon's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Laibon walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Laibon throws a big shot that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Erikson circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Laibon to the canvas! Laibon doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Erikson keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Erikson!
A relieved looking Jon Erikson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Tembo Laibon spoke after the fight, saying 'The comeback is always greater than the setback. He earned this win but this isn't it for me.'.
