Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Furio Spartan (ranked 3500 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miles North (ranked 5486 p4p, 0 weight class). Spartan comes to the cage accompanied by This is Sparta. On his way into the cage it seems that Furio Spartan has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Furio Spartan seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spartan lands a nice looking body shot.

Spartan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming North to the mat! North manages to get full guard.

Spartan got a little sloppy there for a moment and North has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Spartan has managed to get both his arms back between North's legs - danger averted.

Spartan wants to clinch up but North keeps it at a distance.

North uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Spartan.

Spartan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Spartan is trying to control the action in half guard but North is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

North has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Spartan doesn't defend quickly enough and North has managed to lock this one up! Can Spartan escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to North on a fantastic submission victory.
