Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boris Burks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fard Kapral!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Burks's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kapral forces Burks back against the cage and clinches.
Kapral tries to circle away but Burks has him pinned against the cage.

Burks has Kapral pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Burks pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kapral tumbling to the mat - Burks dives into Kapral's guard.
Burks sitting in guard here, content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burks loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Burks missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Burks postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Kapral is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Burks is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burks scoring with some ground and pound.
Kapral can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Burks controls the pace.
Burks lands a couple of digs.
Burks looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kapral preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Burks cracks Kapral with a solid left hand.
Burks is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Burks really is a fat lump.
Kapral controls Burks momentarily but Burks frees himself.

Burks drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Burks seems to have locked his on tight now - Kapral screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Burks, as he picks up the win!
