Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Almedin Hafizovic (ranked 2789 p4p, 310 weight class) and Zhoujiangcuo Wong (ranked 2419 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looked like Hafizovic was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Wong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hafizovic is trying to maintain a safe position but Wong gets an underhook and turns Hafizovic into the cage.
Hafizovic lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Hafizovic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
No joy there for Hafizovic, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hafizovic closes the distance and pushes Wong back into the cage.
Wong breaks from the clinch.
Wong gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Wong tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Hafizovic is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Wong buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Wong!! Wong is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Hafizovic throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Almedin Hafizovic!
