Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Cook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Manuel!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cook tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Manuel was well out of range. Poor timing from Cook.
Manuel connects with a body shot that sends Cook's belly button to the back.
Cook scores with a jab to the jaw.
Manuel scores with a crisp jab that stopped Cook in his tracks.
Cook wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Cook misses with a lunging right hand
and Manuel counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Josh Cook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice cross by Manuel.
Cook throws the left hand but Manuel avoids the punch easily.
Cook throws a jab but it's blocked by Manuel.
Manuel throws a counter combo.
Manuel misses the jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cook with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Manuel ducks under a wild hook from Cook.
Cook lands a jab to the nose.
Manuel's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cook under the eye.
Cook cracks Manuel with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Manuel's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cook connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Manuel scrambles back to his feet.


Manuel is rocked!
Cook throws an overhand right that drops Manuel like a sack of potatoes! Cook dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Josh Cook!
A very excited looking Josh Cook made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
