Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Long Hung Dong (ranked 1738 p4p, 236 weight class) and Kimmo Kallio (ranked 1254 p4p, 178 weight class). Long Hung Dong has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Long Hung Dong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kimmo Kallio!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dong dodges the punch combination from Kallio.
Dong loads up on a big right hand but Kallio slips the punch.

Dong takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A bone on bone clash there as Dong blocks the leg kick.
A little feinted left hand from Dong on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A solid leg kick lands there for Dong.
Kallio keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dong takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Dong throws a wild body kick that Kallio sees coming a mile off.
Kallio feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Dong's calf.
Kallio throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dong throws a half hearted mid kick.
Kallio sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Kallio misses with a head kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kallio lands a body shot.
Kallio throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dong counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Kimmo Kallio has been cut.
Dong cracks Kallio with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Kallio tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Dong pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Kallio is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Long Hung Dong!
Our winner, Long Hung Dong, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
