Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Night Crawler (ranked 992 p4p, 112 weight class) and Miguel Harper (ranked 285 p4p, 36 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Miguel Harper!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crawler moves into range and clinches up with Harper.

A head punch on the inside from Harper fails to land.
Harper misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Crawler is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Harper lands with a right to the head.
Harper prevents a body shot from Crawler.
Crawler can't find room to land a body shot as Harper controls the action.
Harper goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Harper scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Harper lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Crawler has hold of Harper's hands but Harper slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Crawler wants to control but Harper is keeping busy.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Crawler's coaches at Team Alpha Midget have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Crawler looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Crawler lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Harper can't find room to land a body shot as Crawler controls the action.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Crawler blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Harper lands a shot to the body.
Crawler comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Harper lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Crawler misses with an elbow strike.
Crawler is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Harper has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Crawler is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Harper lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Harper keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Crawler's head.

Crawler utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Crawler has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Harper is working away from the top position though.
Harper looks to land a strike but Crawler avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Harper is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Harper is fighting to break Crawler's control of his arms but Crawler is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Harper shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Crawler tries to lock up and control but Harper gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Harper has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Harper throws some wild stikes that Crawler manages to avoid easily.

Crawler tries to lock up and control but Harper gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Harper misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

You can see the frustration on Crawler's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Harper tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Harper has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Harper postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Crawler keeps Harper under control for a moment.

Crawler is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Miguel Harper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Harper seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Crawler does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Harper has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Crawler defend it? Harper steps over the head and cranks it - Crawler is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Harper!
