Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Peter Petrov (ranked 3475 p4p, 349 weight class) and Kyle Maverick (ranked 6591 p4p, 536 weight class). Peter Petrov is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Maverick . No joy for Petrov on that attempt.
Maverick wants to counter the offense by Petrov and move into the clinch position.

It looked like Petrov was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Maverick throws a fast counter high kick but Petrov manages to duck under it in time.

Maverick lands a head kick. Petrov smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

As Maverick looks to move away, Petrov throws a big counter combo but Maverick just gets out of the way.
Maverick doesn't manage to clinch there - Petrov circles away.
Petrov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Maverick can do to turn this around?
Maverick dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Petrov. That did some damage!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
