Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lokee Hyde (ranked 2774 p4p, 309 weight class) and Andy Lettis (ranked 4324 p4p, 423 weight class). Andy Lettis struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Andy Lettis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andy Lettis!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyde with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Hyde misses with a few strikes there.

Hyde gets a takedown into half guard.
Hyde controlling the pace.

Hyde is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lettis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hyde.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hyde scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Hyde tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lettis knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Ground and pound from Hyde.
Hyde seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Hyde seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lettis for as long as he can get away with.
Hyde wants to pass the guard but Lettis is defending well.
Hyde slows the pace down in half guard.
Hyde frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Lettis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hyde. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hyde controlling the pace for now.

Hyde's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Hyde has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Hyde.

We've been hearing good reports from Hyde's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Hyde with shots to the head and body - Lettis looks very uncomfortable down there.

Hyde throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Lettis has his hands clasped together but Hyde breaks the hold and Lettis is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Hyde!
