Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boris Burks (ranked 22546 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Ennis (ranked 4637 p4p, 390 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boris Burks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Ennis!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ennis misses with a few strikes there.

Ennis gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Burks could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Ennis breaks from the clinch.

Ennis gets a clinch.
Burks blocks an elbow strike from Ennis.
Burks tries to score a body lock takedown but Ennis shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Ennis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Burks looks for a takedown but Ennis sprawls well.
Ennis's jab looks to have found its range, popping Burks under the eye.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ennis moves into the clinch successfully.
Ennis lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Ennis content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Ennis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Burks looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ennis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Burks keeps working.
Burks is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ennis off and has taken his back!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Burks is punishing Ennis with some ground and pound.

Burks gets his hands free as Ennis looks to control.

Ennis prevents Burks from getting a body triangle.

Burks patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Can Ennis hold on?! Burks is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Ennis is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Burks is striking well from the back but Ennis escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being.

Ennis wants to get back to full guard.
Burks thows a huge punch but Ennis dodges it nicely.

That was a close round but I would say that Boris Burks will probably get the nod.

Burks gets caught flat footed, as Ennis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Ennis stands up and waves to Burks to follow him.
Ennis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burks is fending him off so far but Ennis persists. Nope, Burks circles away and we're back to standing.
It looked like Burks was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Burks throws a right hand that Ennis ducks under and follows up with a left that Ennis also avoids with ease.

and Ennis counters with a three punch combo that has Burks backing up. Burks nods at Ennis to acknowledge the strikes.

Burks gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ennis lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Burks backwards.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Burks throws out a loose jab but Ennis uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ennis lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Ennis closes the distance and clinches.

Burks is pressed up against the cage. Ennis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Burks down to the mat. Burks avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Ennis counters with a three punch combo that has Burks backing up. Burks nods at Ennis to acknowledge the strikes.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Burks's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A bone on bone clash there as Burks blocks the leg kick.
Ennis misses with a head kick.
Burks is looking to counter punch.

Ennis darts in and clinches Burks up against the cage.
Ennis tries to pull guard but Burks won't allow it.
Boris Burks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Ennis.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ennis goes for a takedown attempt but Burks pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Burks dives in and scores a takedown into Ennis's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Ennis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Ennis closes the distance and clinches up with Burks, looking for a takedown. Ennis pushes Burks against the cage but Burks circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Burks tries to bum rush Ennis with a series of wild strikes but Ennis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Ennis shoots for a double leg takedown but Burks sprawls well. He's pushed Ennis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ennis connects with a nice looking jab.

Frank Ennis seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Burks manages to break the clinch.

Burks forces Ennis back against the cage and clinches.

Ennis gets control of Burks's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ennis will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Ennis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Burks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Burks swings for the body but Ennis moves out of range.

Ennis manages to break the clinch.
Burks throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ennis let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Burks shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Burks not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Boris Burks.
I think Burks has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
