Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between William Bonin (ranked 4487 p4p, 470 weight class) and Asmodius Crowley (ranked 6130 p4p, 534 weight class). The key to victory for William Bonin has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Asmodius Crowley!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crowley takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Bonin thumps Crowley with a low kick.
Bonin throws a sloppy head kick

so Crowley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Bonin working for a triangle but Crowley defends it easily.
Bonin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crowley is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Bonin wants to control the position but Crowley says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Crowley is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Let's hope that Crowley has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Crowley prevents Bonin from improving his position.
Crowley content to control rather than advance.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Crowley steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bonin.
Crowley changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Crowley avoids the body shot from Bonin.
Crowley counters with a body kick.
Bonin swings widly with a right hand

and Crowley counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Crowley wanted to stand there but Bonin had control of the position.
Bonin working a defensive guard but Crowley manages to pass into side control anyway.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crowley is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bonin will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Bonin is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Bonin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Still in half guard, Crowley seems content to control.
Bonin has a hand on Crowley's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Crowley takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

A shot to the liver by Bonin. Beautiful body shot.
Bonin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Crowley at a distance.
William Bonin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Crowley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bonin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bonin scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Crowley doesn't seem bothered though.

and Crowley counters with a shoot takedown. Bonin fights it but they end up in guard.
Crowley controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Crowley looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Asmodius Crowley has got the better of the ground game so far.

Bonin regains full guard. Nicely done.
Crowley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Bonin is looking for a triangle but Crowley pushes his legs off easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Crowley tries to free his leg and advance position but Bonin is retaining full guard.

Bonin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Crowley circles away quickly and effectively.
Crowley tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Crowley gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

It looks like Asmodius Crowley has been cut.
Bonin lands a nice hook to Crowley's body. Crowley takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bonin is looking to wear down Crowley with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Bonin darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Crowley is rocked!
Crowley walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Crowley limp body while Bonin jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
