PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Makres (ranked 1634 p4p, 227 weight class) and Five Finger (ranked 1359 p4p, 205 weight class). Makres comes to the cage accompanied by SABATON - Coat of Arms. Finger has chosen Jekyll and Hyde as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Finger fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Makres, pushing him back against the cage.

Finger cracks Makres with a big right hand but Makres just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Finger is trying to drag Makres to the mat but Makres just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Finger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Makres swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Makres working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Finger doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Finger manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
