Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beddo slips a jab from Escobar.
Escobar throws an overhand right that lands on Beddo's shoulder, as Beddo tries to avoid the shot.
It looked like Beddo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Escobar misses with a lunging right hand
and Beddo counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Braulio Escobar has been cut.
Beddo ducks under a wild hook from Escobar.
A little feinted left hand from Beddo on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Escobar swings for the body but Beddo moves out of range.
Beddo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Escobar tries to avoid it but Beddo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Escobar to the ground. Escobar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Beddo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
It looked like Beddo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Beddo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Escobar moves away.

We've been informed that Escobar has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

The fighters circle momentarily. Escobar darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Beddo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Escobar waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Beddo. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Beddo to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Escobar wants to stand but Beddo is controlling his posture from full guard.
Beddo seems to have got his legs back now.
Beddo wants to sweep but no luck.
Beddo controls Escobar momentarily but Escobar frees himself.

Beddo has a closed guard, preventing Escobar from standing up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Beddo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Escobar manages to get himself to full guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Beddo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Beddo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Braulio Escobar seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Escobar connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Escobar lands a right hook to the body.
A jab from Escobar does it's job there.
Escobar throws a nice looking combination but Beddo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Escobar moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Beddo goes down! Can Escobar finish him!?
This has been an exciting period of action!

Beddo working for submissions but it's allowed Escobar to get to half guard.
Escobar is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Beddo wants to control but Escobar is keeping busy.
Beddo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Escobar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Beddo throws a hook but Escobar blocks it.
Escobar uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

A quick step to the side and Beddo tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Escobar scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Beddo gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Beddo tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Escobar is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Beddo buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Beddo!! Beddo is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Escobar throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
