Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Alex Alexandrov (ranked 6811 p4p, 459 weight class) and Rodney Alcala (ranked 5762 p4p, 413 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

I was talking to Alexandrov's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Alexandrov closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Alcala crashing to the mat! Alcala uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!

A relieved looking Alex Alexandrov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
