Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Stark (ranked 2743 p4p, 334 weight class) and Alonzo Trotter (ranked 3172 p4p, 381 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trotter tries to clinch but Stark is having none of it.
Stark circles away from the clinch attempt.
Trotter throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Trotter is fighting to break Stark's control of his arms but Stark is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Stark goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Stark bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Trotter has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Stark is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Trotter fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Brandon Stark is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stark goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Trotter lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Trotter dives in for a single leg takedown but Stark sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Trotter tries to close the distance and clinch but Stark swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Trotter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Stark throws a push kick but Trotter slaps the foot to one side.
Stark fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Trotter.

and Trotter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Stark won't be happy with that.

Trotter tries for a kimura but Stark is defending well.
You can see the frustration on Stark's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Trotter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stark is trying to get back to half guard.

Trotter working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Trotter tries to advance to mount but Stark denies him.

Stark is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Stark's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Stark is staying active underneath Trotter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Trotter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Stark manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Trotter manages to get himself to full guard.

Stark stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trotter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Trotter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stark doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stark manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's time! Stark's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Trotter goes for a double leg but Stark avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stark continues to drive forward.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stark is on top in guard.

Stark got a little sloppy there for a moment and Trotter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stark has managed to get both his arms back between Trotter's legs - danger averted.

Stark controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Stark throws a strike but Trotter manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will Stark tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!
