Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jermaine Vinson (ranked 23803 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yorgan De Romero (ranked 4709 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jermaine Vinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yorgan De Romero!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero goes for a double leg but Vinson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Vinson continues to drive forward.
Romero throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vinson's waist but Vinson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Romero off to one side.
Vinson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Romero shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vinson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Romero is looking to take a break and control but Vinson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Vinson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Romero's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Romero wants to pass to mount but Vinson is defending the position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Romero accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vinson has his hands on Romero's head, controlling the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

It looks like Jermaine Vinson has been cut.

Romero is looking to stand up but Vinson isn't so interested in that idea.

Vinson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Romero backwards.

Romero pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice uppercut lands for Romero. That snapped Vinson's head back.

Vinson forces Romero back against the cage and clinches.
Romero tries to pull guard but Vinson holds him up against the cage and eventually Romero drops back down to his feet.
Jermaine Vinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yorgan De Romero.

Vinson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Vinson shoots in looking for a takedown. Romero tries to sprawl out of it but Vinson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Romero manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Yorgan De Romero will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Romero tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Romero tries to bum rush Vinson with a series of wild strikes but Vinson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Jermaine Vinson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Some bone on bone action there as Romero checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Romero has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Vinson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Romero takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Vinson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Vinson shoots in for a takedown but Romero shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Romero throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Vinson.
You can see the frustration on Romero's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Vinson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Romero takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Vinson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Romero is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Vinson off and has taken his back!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Romero is not going to allow Vinson to sit and survive in this position.
Vinson covering up well and avoiding damage.
Romero misses with a punch to the head.

Romero trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Vinson is trying to stand back up.
Romero controls the action.
Romero tries to keep control of the position but Vinson is staying busy.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Romero is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Romero has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Vinson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Vinson wants to escape the position.
Vinson breaks Romero's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Vinson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Romero is trying to control the position from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Yorgan De Romero.
I think Romero has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
