Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Riley Escobar (ranked 21916 p4p, 577 weight class) and Antonio Padilla (ranked 1822 p4p, 198 weight class). Escobar comes to the cage accompanied by Never Gone Get It. Antonio Padilla has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Riley Escobar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antonio Padilla!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Padilla moves into range and clinches up with Escobar.
Escobar wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Padilla has him pressed against the cage.

Escobar changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Padilla fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Padilla felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
