PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Test Fighter A (ranked 3871 p4p, 421 weight class) and Prince Tonni (ranked 6855 p4p, 566 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tonni takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Fighter A scores with a sloppy right hand. Tonni should have avoided that one.
Tonni takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Fighter A has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Ferocious beast in the buildup to the fight.
Tonni comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Fighter A lands an overhand right.

Tonni fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fighter A manages to avoid it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fighter A, as that shot connected.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tonni takes a swing at Fighter A's ribcage but misses.
Fighter A swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Fighter A counters with a left and a right that stings Tonni.
Fighter A jabs Tonni to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Fighter A looks to land a combination. Tonni sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

and Fighter A makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Tonni will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A quick step to the side and Fighter A tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fighter A moves into range and connects with a jab.
Fighter A tests Tonni's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Tonni is still on wobbly legs! Can Fighter A finish him?
Tonni throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fighter A is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Tonni seems to have recovered his senses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fighter A scores with a jab. Tonni acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Tonni moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Tonni takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Fighter A motions for Tonni to come forward. Fighter A throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Tonni is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Fighter A rather than just go for the knockout.

Tonni lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fighter A circles away quickly and effectively.

Tonni's coach down at Tycoon Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Tonni's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Fighter A throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Tonni gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Fighter A gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
