Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Louis Alexandre Berthier (ranked 2616 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Silver (ranked 9405 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Berthier's calf.
Berthier moves out of range of the strikes.
A slow jab from Silver misses its intended target.
Berthier fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silver sprawls well initially but Berthier persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Silver moves into full guard.
Berthier drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silver looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silver looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silver!
Berthier is looking to reverse the position.
Silver working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Silver decides to stand back up.
Berthier shoots in looking for a takedown. Silver tries to sprawl out of it but Berthier keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silver manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Berthier takes one to the side of the head.
Silver instigates a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Berthier's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Silver lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Silver has a couple of punches blocked by Berthier.
Berthier blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Silver keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Berthier's efforts to push away.

Silver pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Berthier decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Silver manages to escape and get back to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A head punch blocked on the inside by Berthier.
Silver keeps control of Berthier as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Silver prevents a takedown attempt there.

Silver escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Donk. Silver catches Berthier right on the button with a cross.
Berthier has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Berthier there as he acknowledges the shot.
Berthier walks into a straight right hand from Silver.
Berthier chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Silver can pounce on him.
Silver throws the left hand but Berthier avoids the punch easily.

Berthier appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Berthier takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Silver stuffs the takedown attempt from Berthier. Berthier gets slowly back to his feet.
Silver misses the jab.
Berthier looks for a takedown but Silver sprawls well.
Silver let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Silver punishes Berthier's body with a nice straight punch.
A punch lands to the side of Berthier 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A jab from Silver does it's job there.
Berthier uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Silver.
Berthier appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Berthier takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Berthier is rocked!
Berthier tries to move into range but Silver moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Oh Berthier is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silver circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Berthier to the canvas! Berthier doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Silver keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
