Chris Brown & Jhene Aiko - Post To Be as his entrance music. Alexander Shlemenko has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Joseph Telushikin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joseph Telushikin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Shlemenko!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Telushikin looks to land a combination. Shlemenko sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Telushikin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shlemenko moves away.
Shlemenko lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Telushikin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Telushikin throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Shlemenko moves into the clinch.
Shlemenko tries to land a knee to the head but Telushikin blocks with his arms.
Shlemenko is working for takedown but Telushikin is calmly controlling the position for now.
Shlemenko prevents the takedown attempt.
A short uppercut from Telushikin.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Shlemenko has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Telushikin throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Shlemenko is fighting off a takedown attempt but Telushikin is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Shlemenko to the mat. Shlemenko regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Telushikin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Telushikin is stalling here. Shlemenko is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Telushikin seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Shlemenko has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Telushikin is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at The Gentleman's Club, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Telushikin wants to improve his position but Shlemenko is controlling well.

Shlemenko is looking to stall here but Telushikin recovers full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Telushikin controls Shlemenko momentarily but Shlemenko frees himself.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Telushikin pulls Shlemenko in close to prevent any damage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Joseph Telushikin will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Nice body punch from Shlemenko.
Telushikin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shlemenko as he jumps to the side.
Joseph Telushikin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Telushikin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Telushikin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shlemenko circles away quickly and effectively.
Shlemenko slips a straight right by Telushikin.
Nice straight punches there by Shlemenko. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Shlemenko.
Telushikin connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shlemenko. Shlemenko circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

and Telushikin counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A right-left combo lands from Shlemenko.
Telushikin scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Telushikin tries for a takedown but Shlemenko sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Shlemenko only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Sloppy strikes from Shlemenko. Those never looked like landing.
Shlemenko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Telushikin is looking for a counter combo.

Telushikin scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
No joy there for Telushikin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Telushikin half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Telushikin is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Shlemenko has his hands clasped together but Telushikin extends and breaks Shlemenko's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Telushikin.
