Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Santosh Nagasaki (ranked 504 p4p, 25 weight class) and Derek Vinyard (ranked 482 p4p, 24 weight class). Nagasaki's entrance music is Execute Plan: Nuclear Tortoise. A fine choice. Santosh Nagasaki could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Derek Vinyard's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nagasaki shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vinyard napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Vinyard walks into a left hand.
Vinyard takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Nagasaki clobbers Vinyard with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Vinyard! But no joy.
Nagasaki scores with a nice head shot.
Vinyard throws a low kick but it's checked well by Nagasaki.
Nagasaki tries to counter with a takedown but Vinyard is quick to defend against it.
Vinyard smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nagasaki fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Vinyard to the ground. Nagasaki is now in Vinyard's guard.

Vinyard pushes Nagasaki off and scrambles back to his feet.

Nagasaki's corner calls for a 1-2. Nagasaki obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Vinyard throws an ugly left hook that misses

It seemed like Vinyard was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Nagasaki steps in with a hook that catches Vinyard right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Nagasaki follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Vinyard looks absolutely devastated.
