Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kaiji Inoue (ranked 1433 p4p, 176 weight class) and Lusmu Kutvonen (ranked 1290 p4p, 155 weight class). Inoue comes to the cage accompanied by Ladies and Gentlemen (Saliva). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kaiji Inoue!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lusmu Kutvonen!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Eddie Farnsworth and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kutvonen misses with a hook.
Kutvonen throws the left hand but Inoue avoids the punch easily.
Inoue wants to clinch.
Inoue lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kutvonen at a distance.
Inoue tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kutvonen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kutvonen tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Kutvonen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Inoue's head.

Inoue forces Kutvonen back against the cage and clinches.
Inoue lands with a short shot to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kutvonen tries to throw a body punch but Inoue avoids it by throwing Kutvonen back against the cage.
Our sources have told us that Inoue has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.

Inoue lands a hook that snaps the head of Kutvonen backwards.

Inoue swings wildly with an uppercut but Kutvonen uses good head movement to avoid it.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kutvonen has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

letting Inoue counter with a right hand.
Kutvonen gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Inoue tries to clinch up but Kutvonen circles away and keeps his distance.

Kutvonen does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Kutvonen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Inoue has Kutvonen pressed against the cage. He pushes Kutvonen back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Inoue throws a beautiful elbow that sends Kutvonen crashing to the floor! Inoue piles on the pressure with more strikes! Kutvonen is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kaiji Inoue!
A relieved looking Kaiji Inoue thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
