The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocca connects with the punch.

Rocca rushes Pereira and presses him up against the cage.
Rocca lands a shot to the body.
Still in the clinch, Rocca scores with a nice short uppercut.
Pereira prevents a body shot from Rocca.
Rocca working aggressively here.
Pereira blocks an uppercut.

Rocca breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pereira keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pereira throwing a counter right hand but Rocca manages to avoid it.
Pereira lands with a cross.
Pereira takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Rocca closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pereira quickly recovers to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rocca slows the pace down in half guard.
Rocca is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pereira is in all sorts of trouble here.
Pereira knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rocca on the ground.
Rocca looking to ground and pound but Pereira is blocking nicely.
BOOM! Rocca connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rocca cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Rocca lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Pereira hang on?
Rocca lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Pereira! Rocca sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Pereira and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Reno Rocca decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
