Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Basil Borcea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Abed Nadir!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nadir keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Borcea.
Borcea looks to land a right hand but Nadir moved out of range.
Despite the aggression on Nadir's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Borcea takes a kick to the side of the head.
Borcea lands an overhand right.
Nadir has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nadir there as he acknowledges the shot.
Borcea tests Nadir's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Nadir throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Borcea counters with a huge left! Nadir is in big trouble! He's backing up but Borcea isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Nadir from any more damage. A dominating finish by Borcea!
