Gai's entrance music is Alice Cooper No More Mr. Nice Guy. A fine choice. Oscar Larraza has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Larraza loads up on a big right hand but Gai slips the punch.
Larraza throws a sloppy head kick and Gai moves out of range easily.
A counter left hand to the body from Gai misses its target.
Gai digs a good body shot into Larraza's ribs.

Larraza lands a nice shot that snaps Gai's head back.

Larraza throws a lazy right hand but Gai sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Larraza throws a shot from downtown. Gai moves away and avoids it.
Gai lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Larraza at a distance.
Larraza tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Larraza throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gai.

Larraza takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Gai lands a leg kick that knocks Larraza off balance momentarily.
Gai looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Larraza throws a low kick but Gai avoids it.
Gai throws a quick counter kick to the body but Larraza avoids it.
We've been informed that Larraza has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Gai's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gai duly obliges.
Gai closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oscar Larraza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Larraza throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Larraza missing with a left hand there. Gai was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Larraza cracks Gai with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Gai drops Larraza with a straight right hand, right on the button! Gai follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
