TWGC 26 (155lbs, D3): Finals - Round 1 PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Scar Ambe (ranked 668 p4p, 81 weight class) and Arlo Rochester (ranked 4032 p4p, 405 weight class). Ambe's entrance music is Yung Bleu - Perk Emotions. A fine choice. Rochester has chosen Voodoo Child- Jimi Hendrix as his entrance music. Arlo Rochester told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Scar Ambe! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Arlo Rochester!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Ambe wants the takedown. Rochester is fighting it off but Ambe persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rochester's guard against the cage.

Ambe has control of Rochester's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rochester regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Ambe jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rochester manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Ambe's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
