Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Blood (ranked 133 p4p, 21 weight class) and Mfer Phol (ranked 348 p4p, 51 weight class). Blood comes to the cage accompanied by Raining Blood - Slayer. Mfer Phol has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phol takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Blood bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Blood looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Blood clinches up against the cage.
Phol lands with a left to the head.
Blood is working for takedown but Phol is calmly controlling the position for now.
Phol swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Blood jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Phol walks away with a smile on his face. Blood gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Blood shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Phol but Phol pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Blood. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Phol throws a right and a left that Blood avoids nicely.
Phol takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Phol cracks Blood with a good jab.
Phol ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Blood avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Phol looks to score with a jab to the body but Blood is just out of range.
Phol leaves Blood with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Blood tries to close the distance and clinch up but Phol swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Blood shoots in and gets a takedown into Phol's guard.
Phol keeping moving, preventing Blood from controlling successfully.
Phol is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Blood loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Blood throws a big elbow that misses.
Blood trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Phol not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Blood stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Phol swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Blood is looking to work some ground and pound but Phol has wrist control.

Phol looking for a guillotine here but Blood defends easily.

Blood tries to free his leg and advance position but Phol is retaining full guard.
Blood wants to control from the top but Phol keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Blood fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Phol looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Blood tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Phol swivels and escapes.
Blood wants to clinch.
Blood gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Phol counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Phol tries to keep at a distance but Blood has taken the fight into the clinch.
Phol softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Blood tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Phol smiles and moves away.
Blood moves out of range of the strikes.
Blood changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Phol tries to avoid it but Blood manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Phol to the ground. Phol escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Blood takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Phol throws a head kick that misses.

Blood darts in and clinches Phol up against the cage.
Blood wants to take the fight to the mat but Phol manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Phol breaks the clinch.
Phol defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Blood.
Phol misses with a hook. Blood ducked under it nicely.
Blood attempts a counter takedown but Phol avoids it well and moves away.
Blood tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Phol paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Blood shoots in for a double leg but Phol sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A nice side step and Phol releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

and Phol counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Blood is rocked!
Blood is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Phol doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Blood crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Blood's bad books for that mishap!
